Knight & Dame The Grand Cross of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem

In October 2021, 206 Tours President & Founder Milanka Lachman, and her husband Charles had the honor of being promoted to Knight and Dame of the Grand Cross of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre!

The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre is a Roman Catholic Order of Knighthood that has operated under the protection of the Pope since the Middle Ages. For almost a millennium, the Order’s mission has been to strengthen Catholic beliefs and values; sustain and aid the charitable, cultural, and social works of the Catholic Church in the Holy Land; and protect the rights of Christians in the Holy Land. The Investiture Weekend for the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre (Eastern Lieutenancy) takes place in New York City over the course of two (2) Days. The first day includes Vigil Conferences and Vesper Services at the Church of Our Saviour. Following, everyone makes their way to a joyful Cocktail Reception. The next day involves the Investiture and Promotion Ceremony at St. Patrick’s Cathedral for both “New” and “Current” Members. With the help of our dear friends in the NYPD, the famous “5th Avenue” traffic is paused, allowing the Knights and Ladies to process directly into St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Both the Investiture and the Mass that followed were led and celebrated by Timothy Cardinal Dolan. That evening is the Investiture and Promotion Gala Dinner, celebrating the Knights and Ladies. Also in attendance were Friends and Family, many Holy Priests, Board Members of the Order, and Seminarians. As the first event taking place at the newly opened Hilton Hotel, and the first “Event” to take place for the Equestrian Order since 2019, His Eminence delivered an awe-inspiring speech. Lady Vicki Downey, DGCHS hosted the evening with many other Speakers and even took the time to acknowledge and celebrate our friend, Father Philip Tah, on his 25th Anniversary of the Priesthood.
