About the Hotel Colonne:
Hotel Colonne, a few steps away from the Shrine of Padre Pio, was built in 1995 following the renovation of an old inn where the Holy Father used to go in order to give the eucharistic host to an old lady who lived there.
Our hotel boasts an excellent position, in the proximity of the Convent of the Capuchin Friars and the hospital Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza, a medical centre created and inaugurated by Padre Pio in 1956. Moreover, it is only 20 metres away from the closest bus stop.

In the morning our internaional breakfast is served in buffet style between 7:00am and 9:30am.

The hotel’s baker makes fresh treats daily; yoghurt, milk and cheese are sourced from a local farm that Saint Pio from Pietrelcina planned and paid for himself , the farm is called “Posta la via”. You can taste the intense flavours of the unforgettable Coffee pera and choose from a vaste choice of warm drinks and cold Nestle.
