About the Hotel Amenal:
The French Way leaves Palas for Campo dos Romeiros, a traditional meeting place for pilgrims, to enter the medieval village of Leboreiro. Between Leboreiro and Melide, cross the village of Furelos and its river through a medieval bridge to enter the urban area of Melide. From this point, the Camino passes through Boente and Castañeda to arrive later at Arzúa, a cheese-making village. The Camino presents itself in this docile stage and in very good condition, mixing earth and stone with small roads between towns, with gentle ascents and descents, alternating with flat stretches.
We are almost reaching our goal. The walking becomes serene, perhaps for fear of ending and not knowing or not wanting what to do next. On tracks of litter, among the last patches of pine and eucalyptus forests, very close and symmetrical, in some areas, also some oaks, the last villages arrive.
This is where El Amenal is located , right at the end of the Camino de Santiago, immediately before accessing the urban environment of the city, you will have a place of welcome and a well-deserved rest.

The Galician cuisine is varied and relevant, with a strong attachment to tradition and has great variety of seafood, mountain and garden to prepare their dishes such as Galician soup, empanadas, pork with turnip tops, raxo , zorza, eels, the best tortillas, Padrón peppers, tripe, churrasco, pancakes, Santiago cake, excellent Galician bread and a wide variety of cheeses such as tetilla or cottage cheese.
Its wines are internationally known, highlighting those of Ribeiro, Rias Baixas (with a strong presence of Albariño grape) or Ribeira Sacra.
