About the Pazo Torres de Agrelo:

We welcome you to Pazo Torres Agrelo, a complex of great architectural value, restored at the end of the 20th century for the celebration of weddings and events.

Architecture

The main building with two crenellated towers has 9 rooms, with a full bathroom, decorated with period furniture. Inside, the splendid Triana tiles in the hall, a spectacular chestnut staircase, and the polychrome stained glass windows that dress the doors and windows stand out.

Gardens

The estate has a multitude of landscape areas and unique tree species in Galicia, spread across a spectacular estate of eighty thousand square meters.

The CAMELIA occupies a prominent place.

History

The origin of the Pazo dates back to 1865, when Marshal Rubín de Celis ordered the construction of the current building on the ruins of an old Franciscan convent. Since then, the Pazo has served as the home of illustrious figures such as Montero Ríos, Cristino Martos, and Joaquín Sorolla. It also served as an enclave for military receptions, as a refuge during the Civil War and as a military hospital during World War II. Since 1960 it was abandoned until the end of the 20th century, when its spectacular 80,000m2 estate and its buildings were restored for wedding celebrations.
