Eucharistic Miracle of Orvieto (The Corporal of Bolsena) :
In 1263 in Bolsena Italy a Eucharistic Miracle occurred when a consecrated Host began to bleed onto the Corporal cloth the host and chalice were resting on. The relic is preserved in the Orvieto Cathedral. Every year on the Feast of Corpus Christi there is a procession through the city with the relic and is considered a major public Holiday. The Orvieto Cathedral (in Italian, the “Duomo di Orvieto”, or “Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta”) is dedicated to the Assumption of Mary in the Umbria region of Italy. It is also the seat of the Diocese of Todi.
