Itinerary

Day 1: Depart for the Tel Aviv airport

Make your way to your local airport where you will board your overnight flight. Your meals are served on board.

Day 2: Arrival Tel Aviv - Jerusalem

Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, make your way to the baggage claim area and collect your luggage. Proceed to the arrival hall, where you will be greeted by your tour guide and/or driver. Transfer to your hotel in Jerusalem in time to check-in. Enjoy dinner at the hotel before retiring for the evening. *LATE CHECK-IN MIGHT APPLY DUE TO SABBATH (2 HOURS AFTER SUNSET)

Day 3: Hebron – Bethlehem - Jerusalem

After a restful evening and breakfast, we will start the day with an Excursion to Hebron crossing the hills of Judea on our way to Mamre – we visit Mamre, the site might not look that interesting archaeologically – but reflecting over the fact that this is where God made his covenant with Ibrahim (Genesis 12 – 23). Visit the Cave of Machpelah burial place of the Patriarchs Ibrahim, Isaac, Jacob, and the Matriarchs Sarah, Leah, and Rebecca. We will enjoy a delicious lunch (included) together as a group before we make our way to Bethlehem. Drive to Bethlehem passing by the Blessed Pool where according to tradition the Ethiopian Eunuch was baptized by Philip. Visit Bethlehem Church of Nativity celebrate Mass and return to Jerusalem for dinner at a local restaurant and overnight.

Day 4: Gethsemane – Western Wall Excavations – Western Wall Tunnel – Via Dolorosa – Holy Sepulchre

This morning after breakfast we follow the passion of Christ where we visit the Garden and Grotto of Gethsemane. Mass at the grotto of Gethsemane where Jesus met Nicodemus and where he was arrested after his prayer at the garden. We visit the Church of the Assumption with the empty Tomb of the Virgin. The church was built by the Crusaders over the ruins of the Byzantine church. According to Tradition, the Blessed mother died on Mt Zion, and then her body was buried at the Church of the Assumption from where her body was taken into heaven. Enter the Old City via the Dung gate to visit the Davidson Center. Walk on the Herodian streets of Jerusalem where Jesus walked, see the southern steps and southern entrance to the Temple recalling Joseph and Mary carrying baby Christ for his presentation at the Temple, reflect over Peter’s sermon given on these steps after Pentecost. We proceed for a visit of the wailing wall where nearby we enter the Western Wall tunnel (entrance included) seeing the remnants of the massive retaining western wall of the Temple leading us to the Via de Laroza leading towards the church of the Holy Sepulchre for visit. A stop for lunch as a group (included). This afternoon we visit the Jewish quarter where we enter to visit the Herodian Quarter “Wohl Archaeological museum”(entrance included) where many scholars believe that it’s the location of the Hasmonean Palace from the time of Christ where perhaps the actual Praetorium would have stood “Judgment hall where Jesus stood his Judgment in front of Pilate” following the description given by early Christian visitors and authors during the Byzantine period where the judgment hall has stood between the Nea Church and the Church of Hagia Sophia. Rest of the afternoon at leisure.Dinner & overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 5: Jerusalem – Bethany - Masada – Cross Arava Border to Jordan – Wadi Rum

After breakfast, we will check out of the Hotel. Today we will start the day with an early Mass at Bethany. Depart to Masada (entrance & cable car included) Afternoon visit the Fortress stronghold of Masada, where the Zealots had their last stand against the Romans. Besides its historical importance, it would also give us a great historical insight into the life at the time of Jesus. Before we depart towards the Arava borders we will enjoy savoring a delicious lunch. Depart towards the Arava borders where we cross into Jordan meeting our guide and driver. Check in to Wadi Rum for a night of luxury camping under the blanket of stars. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Wadi Rum – Petra

Start our day at Wadi Rum One of Jordan and the world-known natural wonder. Vast, echoing, and God-like.” That is how T.E. Lawrence, the British archaeologist and army officer who inspired the 1962 film “Lawrence of Arabia,” described Wadi Rum. As you approach the wind-swept mountains that fiercely jut out of the burnt orange sand in Jordan’s largest desert, it’s easy to see what he meant. The landscape here is like something from another world. We enjoy a Jeep ride experience into Wadi Rum for a unique desert experience. Lunch at Wadi Rum. This afternoon includes a Camel ride journey along the unique desert before we depart for Petra (entrance included). Celebrate Mass at one of the Petra caves before checking into our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Petra – Dead Sea

The group will begin the day with breakfast at the hotel and make our way to the Rose stone cut city of Petra. We will celebrate Mass at one of Petra caves. After lunch proceeds to our hotel at the Dead Sea – Jordan. Dinner and overnight in the Dead Sea.

Day 8: Dead Sea – Nebo – Madaba – Dead Sea

After breakfast, we will depart for Mt Nebo from where Moses stood and looked at the promised Land. Visit Madaba seeing the 6th century AD map of the Holy Land – followed by a visit of Mosaic factory where we could see the manufacturing of Mosaics as in ancient times and if desired to acquire your souvenir from the showroom. Return to our hotel for a group lunch. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to explore the shores of the Dead Sea. Dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Dead Sea – Cross Sheikh Hussein Bridge – Nazareth

Wake up at your leisure and enjoy breakfast. You will have the morning free to relax and enjoy. Meet up with your group for lunch then head to Sheikh Hussein Bridge. Check in to our hotel in Nazareth. Later this evening, we will join the local Christians in the beautiful Candlelight Procession. Return to our hotel for Dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Stella Maris – Akko – Rosh Hanikra – Haifa

After breakfast, we will visit Stella Maris – Carmelite Shrine dedicated to our Lady of Mt Carmel where we celebrate Mass. Enjoy a boat ride from Haifa to the Port of Akko (included) Steeped in medieval Crusader history, Akko is an atmospheric old town surrounded by lofty fortifications. Much of its picturesque stone architecture has been preserved making this one of the most interesting towns to explore in the country. With a caboodle of khans (caravanserais), fortifications, and Crusader buildings packed amid the narrow alleyways, history-fiends will be in heaven. Our visit includes the Crusader Hospitallers quarter, which a pilgrim by name of Theodoric mentions in his pilgrimage journal that amid the most impressive things he visited in Holy Land. We see the Knights Hall (entrance included), the crusader streets and markets preceding through its underground tunnels to the Crypt of St John’s church. On to walk past colorful Bazaars of the city passing Khan EL Umdan caravanserais to the Port of the city which is mentioned in Acts ch. 21 where St Paul would have disembarked and spent a day with the brethren’s in the city. We cross the impressive 1000-foot-long Templars Tunnel that connected the Palace with the Pisan port. After Lunch depart Akko to Rosh Hanikra (cable car & entrance included) nestled on the present day’s Lebanese borders for a magnificent view of the Mediterranean. At the time of Christ, it was known as the ladder of Tyre through which Jesus would have walked into Tyre and Sidon. We take the Gondolas into the Grottoes carved over thousands of years by the power of the Sea. It is a love story between the Sea and the mountains. Tonight, we will enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before our overnight at the hotel in Nazareth.

Day 11: Nazareth – Mt. Arbel – Tel Aviv

After breakfast, we will check out of our hotel and head to visit Nazareth Church of the Annunciation where we celebrate mass then walk along the pilgrim’s path to visit Marys’ Well. We carry on visiting Nazareth Village where we experience Nazareth, as it would have looked in the first century AD. On to Sea of Galilee where we enjoy a panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee from Mt Arbel followed by a boat ride (included) then we visit a monumental cliff towers up, offering a breathtaking view of the Jordan Valley, the Sea of Galilee, the Golan Heights, Mt Hermon, and the Galilee. After lunch, we will head to Tel Aviv. Enjoy some free time before dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Departure

After an early breakfast and heartfelt farewells, transfer to the Tel Aviv airport for return flights home.
