Day 1 - Depart USA Depart USA for your overnight flight to Europe. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board.
Day 2 - Arrive Paris
Upon arrival in Paris Airport, you will be greeted by our tour guide and brought to your transportation. You will have free time for lunch and then depart for our tour of Paris. We will begin with holy Mass at the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal. View the incorrupt body of St. Catherine Labouret whose guardian angel led her to the chapel where the Blessed Virgin dis-played a vision of the miraculous medal and later the green scapular. The Virgin promised bountiful graces for all who wore these. Next we depart on our sightseeing tour which includes the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Eiffel Tower, L'Arc de Triomphe, the and Champs Elysees. Enjoy other sights on this mostly panoramic tour. We enjoy a lovely dinner before returning to our hotel for a restful overnight.
Day 3 - Excursion to Lisieux, St. Therese the Little Flower
After breakfast, we depart for Lisieux where we will enjoy a tour of the home of St. Therese whom Pope Pius X called "the greatest saint of modern times." Her extraordinary love for God and service to humanity comes alive as you visit the Basilica of Saint Therese, one of the biggest and most magnificent religious structures built in the 20th-century. While in Lisiuex we will celebrate Mass will be celebrated. We will stop at Les Buissonets, St. Therese's family home, there on display are relics, clothing, and personal objects belonging to the "little flower." Before leaving tour the ancient Cathedral of St. Peter and the Carmelite Convent. We return on to Paris for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 - Excursion to Nevers, the body of St. Bernadette
After breakfast, we depart for Nevers by way of the picturesque Loire Valley. After taking the veil in 1867, St. Bernadette lived for 12 years as a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of Nevers. At least three times during her short lifetime, she received the last Sacraments. In addition to asthma, she was gradually struck by other illnesses, among them was tuberculosis of the lung and a tubercular tumor in her right knee. St. Bernadette eventually died at the age of 35. See St. Bernadette's incorrupt body at the convent of St. Gildard, miraculously preserved since her death in 1879. We return to Paris for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 - Paris - Lyon
After breakfast, we depart for the airport for our short flight to Lyon. Upon arrival we will be greeted by our driver. We will enjoy a panoramic tour of Lyon before arriving at our hotel. Enjoy free time to rest and refresh before dinner.
Day 6 - Excursion to Paray-le-Monial & Ars
After breakfast, we journey to Paray-le-Monial where we will visit the Chapel of the Visitation where Jesus exposed His Sacred Heart to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque during a number of apparitions, Reliquary of St. Margaret containing her relics, located underneath a wax figure of the saint. We continue on to the pretty little town of Ars, best known for St. Jean-Marie Vianney, the patron saint of priests. There are several sights of special importance such as: Church (�glise), a 12th-century church where the saint preached; Basilica (Basilique), a newer basilica built next to the church that displays the saint's incorrupt body; Heart Chapel, which contains the saint's heart; Home of St. John Vianney preserved the way he left it; Underground Church constructed for pilgrim groups; La Providence, an orphanage founded by St. John Vianney. We return to Lyon for dinner and overnight.
Day 7 - Excursion to La Salette
After breakfast we depart for La Salette located in a high alpine pas-ture in the French Alps, La Salette is the site where the Virgin Mary appeared in 1846 to two shepherds, Melanie Matthew and Maximin Gird. Our Lady appeared to these shepherds crying, lamenting over the lack of observance of Sundays and the profaning of her Son's holy name. A spring forever marks the spot where the Virgin appeared and where millions of pilgrims come to in order to drink the fresh spring water and to pray. The stunning mountain scenery and lush mountain trails make La Salette one of the most spectacular pilgrimage site in France, with a beautiful Basilica built to honor the Virgin Mary. In 1996 La Salette celebrated the 150th anniversary of Our Lady's first appearance. We return to Lyon for dinner and over-night.
Day 8 - Lyon - USA
After breakfast we transfer to Lyon airport for your return flight to the United States.
